If you are anything like me, you probably watch the food channel more than you would like to acknowledge, have an obsession about opening a eating place, and exercise a great deal to enable you to carry on and match your jeans and still eat the stuff you like. We eat in Philly on a regular basis. We have been for all the best there: from the cheesesteak eggrolls with Davios, to the barbequed pork with Budakan, to the Blood Orange colored Margarita's with Lolita, to the Chicken with Greens at Frank and Evelyn's. About six months ago, I used to be watching a show about hamburgers on the Vacation Channel as well as it included a couple of Chicago, il spots. We all flew into O'Hare and took a van to our hotel. (In the long run, we would stick to the locomotives and stay off the streets. Chicago provides terrible traffic, and an easy, efficient and extensive railroad system. )#) Once we reached the hotel, we were ravenous and we had not had a chance to really find out where we could easily walk for lunchtime. We asked the Concierge, which proved to be a dead end. While the lady was helpful, she told us to go to a chain called POTBELLY. Once she told people that, we all knew that the lady was not the right person to talk to on the subject of food. Lisa pulled out an article from a Philadelphia mag that said that if you go to Chicago, il, you should move the Billy Goat Tavern. We identified that it was nearby, and headed out in the cold rain in our rain coats and over the Michigan Connection to find the Billy Goat.
